I work with individual adults, families, couples, and adolescents with a variety of therapeutic concerns, ages, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I specialize in treating clients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and relationship/marriage issues.
My approach to therapy is grounded in models based on empirical evidence such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, Exposure Therapy, Attachment Theory and Mindfulness.
The most important aspect of the therapeutic process is my relationship with the client and creating a safe environment. I spend the first few sessions with new clients building that relationship and making sure I truly understand their needs while collaboratively establishing therapeutic goals and mapping a treatment plan that feels comfortable and safe. No matter what therapeutic concerns or goals my clients bring into the room, I make sure they leave therapy with the necessary psychoeducation, self-care and coping skills that they will use to manage their symptoms and maintain the changes they have achieved.
